Electromechanical Subassembly
TLC Electronics provides a full range of subassembly services, including the ability to process the latest in smaller, finer materials required for the decreasing size and pitch in today's interconnect. TLC's extensive experience with wire and cable and our investment in tooling enables us the ability to prep and terminate wires from the typical larger wire sizes down to the ultra-fine 36 AWG utilized in some of the latest connector systems.
Capabilities - TLC's capabilities include cutting wires or cables to specific lengths, stripping or prepping to your specifications, tinning, crimping, soldering or terminating to IDC's, crimp-and-poke, solder cup, etc. We can work with a broad selection of materials, from simple PVC to tougher Teflon or Santoprene, and the various forms of wire and cable, from discrete hook-up wire to phone cord, coax, triax, multiconductor or flat ribbon cables.

Complexity - TLC produces a broad range of value added, from simple cut and strip of wires to complex harnessing or soldered subassemblies. Many customer designs require standard, cost-competitive components such as audible devices, fans/blowers, power supplies or displays, with slight modifications for their unique application. TLC services include modifications of these products, whether simple labeling of a power supply or cut and strip of wires to length, to more complex soldering or splicing.

TLC performs termination on fans, speakers and alerts, or other components provided with leads. Our skilled solderers can attach wires or fine terminated assemblies to raw piezo benders, leads or ferrites to AC input modules, PCB headers to LCD modules, or termination of multiple wires to small circular solder cup connectors for portable and medical applications.
Sourcing and Integration - TLC Electronics strives to help our customers wherever possible and we actively promote our franchised component lines, who support us with technical help on designs, allow us better costs, and provide us solid partnerships and confidence when it comes to problem solving and component selection. TLC will also procure assembly components or special services from sources outside of our line card when a customer design requires a commodity not on our linecard, or for specific needs that our customers have locked in on a design. This may include non-franchised components, parts molding or cable overmolding services, sheet metal fabrication for fan trays or assemblies, hardware, packaging, etc.

Tooling - Our extensive line of automated, semi-automated and manual tooling enables us to meet the requirements for designs that include interconnect products offered by JST, Conec, Bulgin, Regal, RIAConnect, AMP / Tyco, Molex, FCI / Berg, Hirose, JAE, LEMO, 3M, Binder, Anderson Power, Packard, Panduit / PanCon, AutoSplice and others. Our ongoing investments in state-of-the-art prep equipment allow us to process some of the toughest (and smallest) materials in the industry, and to precise design specifications. Our wire handling equipment includes machinery from Komax, Kodera, Schleuniger, Carpenter, and others.

TLC Electronics is a ISO 9001:2008 supplier, registered through Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. and is UL and CUL recognized. Our processes meet or exceed WHMA IPC-A-620 standards to ensure that quality is delivered with every shipment.
